# Opa's Formentera Map

> Opa's Formentera Map is the home page for Formentera, made in memory of Andreas Nitschmann (Opa Guvna): a visual guide to the island that opens the living, interactive map of Ibiza & Formentera (hosted on spaceibiza.de, with 1,700+ hand-checked places, three map views and live sea and sky data), focused on Formentera, and that carries a GPS emergency helper showing your coordinates for 112 and the nearest hospitals and health centres from a built-in list. The powder-white beaches of Ses Illetes and Platja de Migjorn, hidden coves, La Mola and its lighthouse, and the ancient Posidonia sea meadows. Free, no app, on any device.

Andreas Nitschmann (born 29 July 1967) is a friend, sportsman, actor and free spirit, at home between Berlin, London and Ibiza. His light went on ahead into a brighter place, and it lives on here, in this map and in everyone who loved him. This map is a free, non-commercial labour of love, made for him.

## Emergency & life-saving help

This page carries a GPS emergency helper. Tap "Locate me" and it reads your exact GPS coordinates on your device (shown large, to read aloud to 112) and, using a straight-line distance calculation, ranks a fixed built-in list of hospitals and health centres on Ibiza and Formentera by distance. Each entry offers a Google Maps directions link (your position as the start point); a separate button opens the full interactive map on spaceibiza.de with your position in the URL. This is an orientation aid, not official emergency advice or a medical recommendation, and it does not guarantee that a listed facility is open, reachable or responsible in a given case.
